Who is winning Money In The Bank briefcases in 2026?
Metro's WWE expert Alistair McGeorge breaks down this year's field. There's a lot riding on this weekend when it comes to the near future of WWE. Not just the world title match between Roman Reigns and LA Knight, which the latter outright told him is 'do or die' for him in the main event picture. The Money In The Bank Ladder Matches have the potential to change the landscape, especially when you look at the superstars in both bouts.
The men's match is stacked with WWE's brightest male prospects, and while CM Punk and Kevin Owens provide serious star power, WWE doesn't need to go that way. The briefcase can catapult someone to another level, and in Bron, Je'Von, Trick and Penta, there are four ready-made superstars on the cusp of the world title scene. Trick has plenty still to offer as United States Champion, and although Bron and Je'Von are so close, McGeorge thinks Penta is the right call after he took Roman Reigns to the limit in Mexico City last month.
On the women's side, Tiffany Stratton is the only former world champion in the match, and it would be a misfire if WWE gives her the win two years after she first won the briefcase. Like Trick, Jacy Jayne is holding things down as US Champ, but it's wide open. If WWE goes with Penta for the men's match, it'd be fun to see a heel like Lash Legend or Roxanne Perez win this one, and the latter would have a red-hot story waiting if she skips past Liv Morgan to claim the world title.
When is WWE next in the UK?
WWE returns to the UK in January 2027 with two huge shows. On January 18, Monday Night Raw comes to Glasgow, with SmackDown arriving at Manchester's AO Arena on January 22. It's part of the now-annual Road to Royal Rumble Tour, which will also see SmackDown coming to Brussels on January 15, and Raw in Dublin on January 25.
