A new wave of Premier League coaches are set to emulate Pep Guardiola's smart-casual touchline style, moving away from the traditional suited and booted look of past managers. The former Manchester City boss, who left the club in the summer, favoured simple T-shirts and chinos paired with white trainers.

Traditional football managers' attire is becoming a thing of the past. Suited and booted styles sported by legends such as Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal's Arsene Wenger are out. Instead, the influence of Guardiola's dress sense is clear.
An unprecedented nine Premier League clubs will have new managers when the season kicks off on Friday. Most of the 20 top-flight coaches appear to be following Guardiola's style guide.
Arteta among the followers
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, a former assistant to Guardiola at City, is among those who will be dressing for the occasion as the team start their title defence. Nottingham Forest's Oliver Glasner is also keeping things simple with a monotone look.
