Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has joked that her 'boobs just get in the way' after revealing the reason behind her close-call wardrobe malfunctions on the course.
Spiranac opens up about challenges
The 33-year-old, who combines her golfing skill with her striking looks, admitted that her larger assets can affect her ability to play. During a round with fellow influencer Hannah Leiner, Spiranac candidly discussed the issue while travelling between holes in a golf buggy.
She explained: “Obviously boobs, they just get in the way. Like I’m here sometimes and I just feel stuck or like if one kind of like moves out of the way a little bit, and I’m coming down, it’s there. And this t***y is there. Maybe it’s going to help with your connection. So many guys are watching this like ‘Wait – I should hit it straighter’. We’re just going to see guys walking around with implants now. I want to hit it straighter, I’m going to get some t*****s’.”
How to swing with 'great cans'
Spiranac has previously shared videos demonstrating how she deals with swinging with 'two obstacles in the way', including one where she wears a turquoise dress. In the clip, she said: “How to swing with some great cans. You got some tig ‘ol bitties and you don’t know how to swing? Well I’m here to help you. Step one: move farther away to give you space. Next you want to tuck your right arm and lay your left arm on top of that mommy milker.”
Feeling trapped by her image
The influencer has also spoken about the mental challenges she faces, saying she sometimes feels misunderstood and trapped by her image. In an interview with Golf Monthly, she said: “It’s hard to dive into all the intricacies of how this has come to be and how I feel about it. Because I can see it from a feminist perspective, but I can also feel trapped sometimes. They all work together. It was very empowering for me to take control over my image and of my body because it can be quite exhausting for people to judge you based on the way that you were shaped. You know, I can’t help my chest size. I can’t help these certain attributes of myself. And it made me almost feel dirty or ashamed of my skin and the body that I was in. I was in a position of necessity. I was a young woman in a male-dominated industry with no power, no say, and needing to make money. I just decided I was going to run with this and see what would happen. There are setbacks to the brand I’ve built and how people view you. There are pros and cons to building a brand and looking the way that I do. You can just never win, and you just have to pick where you feel most comfortable.”
