Amy Pascal, one of the producers of the next James Bond film, has revealed that the new 007 actor is likely to be announced by the end of the year. In an interview with Deadline, Pascal, who also produces the Spider-Man movies, said the search is being conducted with great care.
Producer promises 'something really different'
Speaking about the upcoming announcement, Pascal said: "I would say the end of the year is a good bet. We are being really, really methodical. Having worked with Barbara Broccoli at the studio, I mean, Daniel Craig is a hard act to follow. And it’s got to be something really different that is a stirring and exciting and different."
In May, Amazon MGM Studios announced that the search for the next James Bond was underway, but declined to comment on specific details during the casting process. Rumours suggest that secret auditions are taking place this month, with producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal working alongside director Denis Villeneuve and screenwriter Steven Knight.
