High streets across the UK face more closures this month as several brands shut branches, including Lloyds Banking Group, TG Jones and B&Q.
Lloyds Banking Group branch closures
Lloyds Banking Group, which includes Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland, is set to close over 20 branches in October. The group has previously said that the way its customers choose to bank is constantly changing, which can make it necessary to close or relocate branches.
A spokesperson for the brand said: "When making changes to our branch network, we always look to understand the impact on our customers – including how they continue to access banking services."

TG Jones and B&Q closures
TG Jones, previously WHSmith, is continuing to shut down branches; however, they have yet to announce just how many will be closing their doors in October, having shuttered 19 stores in September.
Modella Capital, who own TG Jones, got approval for a company restructure back in July, and it's thought that up to 150 stores could be at risk of closure as a result.
Elsewhere, B&Q has confirmed its branch in Wigston, Leicestershire, will cease trading at 4pm on Saturday, October 3, after its lease was not renewed. Plans to close the branch first emerged in June, following rumours circulating online about the future of the store. At that stage, shoppers had not been given a firm date for its final day, with B&Q explaining that its lease on the premises had come to an end and the landlord was not planning to renew it.
A B&Q spokesperson said: "We can confirm that the lease at our Wigston [store] has expired and our landlord does not intend to renew it, which regrettably means the store will close later this year. We are currently consulting with affected colleagues and our priority is to support them through this period of change, while continuing to explore alternative premises in the area."
B&Q has now confirmed the existing store will welcome customers for the final time on Saturday before shutting at 4pm.
