British film editor Ian Crafford has died aged 82 after a battle with cancer. He passed away at his home on July 22, his son Scott Crafford told The Hollywood Reporter.

Crafford's editing credits include Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Never Say Never Again, Hope and Glory, and Field of Dreams. He also worked on Tommy Chong's Still Smokin (1983), Frank Oz's The Indian in the Cupboard (1995), and David Anspaugh's The Game of Their Lives (2005), along with two collaborations with Michael Apted, Class Action (1991) and Thunderheart (1992).

He worked with director John Boorman on three films: The Emerald Forest (1985), Hope and Glory (1987), for which he earned a BAFTA nomination, and Where the Heart Is (2000).
Born June 11, 1944, in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England, Crafford took a summer job at Elstree Studios at 17 and never returned to school.
