Birthday photos spark fan frenzy
The Oscar-winning actress posted a carousel of images to her 9.4 million followers, showing her lounging around a villa in a floral silk robe with black laces, wearing no make-up and with freshly washed hair. In one snap, she was seen snacking on chocolate-covered strawberries, her chest barely obscured.
Fans flocked to the comments section to gush over the star. One user wrote: "Happiest of YOUdays to all of you babe, love you big!" A second commented: "What a gorgeous birthday queen! A 'f*** it' approach to turning 60
In the caption, Berry explained she had no specific agenda for her big day, instead approaching it with a "f*** it" mentality. The photos also showed her sharing a smooch with Van Hunt, who proposed to her in February.
Berry recently spoke about her attitude to ageing, telling the Today show in June: "I feel different than I thought I would feel at 60. You know, what is 60? What is age anymore? It's a feeling." She added: "I feel stronger, smarter, wiser, more myself, more in control. I'm the best version of myself at the moment and I'm so glad that I'm still here and healthy."

In an interview with the Cut, Berry said she wants to "not be erased" by the elite in the cinema industry. She explained: "You get to this age where you feel like you're being marginalized, devalued. You feel it at work. You feel it from society. But I have adamantly decided I am not going to allow myself to be erased. That's why I'm on my menopause mission. I'm going to be louder than I have ever been."
