Frankie Valli has confirmed he is not retiring despite recent health issues that led him to cancel the remainder of his and The Four Seasons' 2026 tour dates. The 92-year-old singer's representative told People magazine: "[Frankie has] had some tough times, but he’s getting through them, and he’s improving. He is looking forward to being back on the road, and he is not retired."

Valli also addressed the rumours directly in a statement on Instagram, writing: "In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired." This follows his brother Bobby Valli's suggestion that the singer would retire, which sparked widespread speculation.
Tour cancellation and health focus
In June, Valli cancelled all upcoming dates of his 2026 tour, citing ongoing health issues. Announcing the end of his Last Encore tour, he said: "I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health." He expressed hope to return, adding: "I’m looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon. Thank you for all your good wishes."
Brother's retirement comments
Bobby Valli had previously written online about his brother's career, mentioning his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and sales of over 100 million records. He stated: "He has been performing for six decades. He will now retire." However, Frankie Valli's representative and his own Instagram post have now firmly denied any retirement plans.
