Coronation Street star Vinta Morgan has confirmed that Sara Poyzer, who plays dodgy car dealer Fiona Morley, will be returning to the cobbles. The actor, known for his role as Ronnie Bailey, revealed the news to Inside Soap, promising explosive scenes ahead.
Fiona's Return and Its Impact
During her last appearance, Fiona found Carl Webster at Chariot Square, where Debbie and Ronnie learned that the gun Carla had wielded during a stand-off at the garage was missing. Fiona warned that they were all at risk if it was not returned. The weapon was eventually found by Jodie Ramsey, who hid it after being confronted by David Platt.
Vinta told Inside Soap: "Yes, I can say that Fiona is coming back – she's played by this wonderful actress, Sara Poyzer, who delivers a very sterling, powerful performance. Fiona makes something happen on the Street which gets Idris and Ronnie to lock heads together. In true Corrie fashion, you can expect some explosive behaviour."
Holiday with Co-Star
The confirmation comes after Sara was seen enjoying a holiday with co-star Sally Carman-Duttine. Sara shared a smiling picture of them on Instagram Story, captioning it "Wasn't that fun," with heart emojis and what appeared to be the Croatian flag. Sally reshared the post, writing "The absolute funnest!" and later shared a video of them snorkelling in water-filled caves, gushing "Best.Day.Ever!"
Earlier this year, Sara's theatre work brought her together with other Corrie stars. Sally, Sue Devaney, and Jonathan Howard watched Sara in Mamma Mia! in the West End. Mamma Mia The Musical shared photos of the cast with the Corrie actors, noting that Sara would soon join them in Weatherfield, with filming beginning soon and her on-screen return later in the summer.
