Coronation Street stars have been sharing their own photos as they film on location in Bolton for what appears to be Sarah Platt's upcoming court drama.
Those who watch the ITV soap, which is usually filmed on set in Salford, know that Sarah is currently behind bars after she was charged with the murder of Theo Silverton. It came weeks after it was revealed to viewers that Sarah was responsible for Theo's death, months after the builder's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain on the night of her mum, Lisa Swain's, wedding to Carla Connor.
Murder Investigation and Suspects
His death triggered a murder investigation, with Corrie confirming Theo's husband, Todd Grimshaw, as a suspect, along with his loved ones, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, as well as Theo's friend-turned enemy, Gary Windass, and Theo's ex-wife, Danielle Silverton. But it was eventually revealed to Corrie viewers that it wasn't any of the six, as it was Sarah who appeared to deal the blow that sent a drunk Theo tumbling off the scaffolding outside his flat and plummeting to the ground - before she called on her former flame, Gary Windass, for help.
Sarah's Confession and Arrest
Corrie fans later watched as Sarah confessed the truth to Todd, while Kit remained determined to pin Theo's murder on Gary, not realising that he had been covering for Sarah, or that was until she confessed all to her copper beau, just as he was trying to pop the question. Despite Kit's attempts to help cover up her crime, Sarah was arrested on suspicion of killing Theo. She was later charged as the evidence stacked against her, and Sarah ended up admitting to the murder, telling DS Lisa Connor-Swain it was in self-defence.
Filming at Bolton Crown Court
Now it appears the Corrie stars are filming what appears to be a court case, having been spotted filming on location at Bolton Crown Court, with the likes of Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah, spotted, alongside her on-screen family and friends.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (August 4), Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Windass, posted a photo of herself, Jack P Shepherd (David Platt) and Julia Goulding (Shona Platt) as they relaxed in a trailer between takes, having earlier teased who she was with and commenting: "@coronationstreet location life."
Meanwhile, Lucy Fallon, who plays Sarah's daughter Bethany Platt, posed for a selfie inside the court alongside Jack, Julia and Todd actor Gareth Pierce. "Busy week for us chicks," she captioned the post, before sharing a photo from back in the trailer with all the snacks she acquired, including chocolate and sweets.
