Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) is left reeling in Coronation Street as her cousin Idris Nazir (Junade Khan) drops two shock revelations. The first comes when Idris tries to discuss buying her share of Speed Daal, leaving her alarmed. The second revelation follows as Idris, determined to deal with his legal troubles, tells Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) he wants to teach Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) a lesson and offers Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) £100 to intimidate him.
Idris faces legal action over mould
Idris has been facing backlash from residents after neglecting tenants Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) and her son Alfie. Abi had repeatedly tried to contact her landlord about damp in her flat, unaware it was Idris until his phone rang just after she tried calling. Days later, Alfie was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties caused by mould beside his bed. An angry Abi has now taken legal action.
Alya caught in the middle
Adam, representing Abi, tells Alya about the case. Alya disapproves but admits she can't force Adam to drop his client. Later, Adam advises Abi to refuse Idris's £5,000 settlement offer. Alya warns Abi that if the case goes to court, she could end up with nothing, leaving Abi torn over which path to take.
