Annie Kilner and Kyle Walker have revealed the name of their first daughter: Royal Wish. The couple, who already have four sons, welcomed their baby girl in July, and Annie shared a black and white montage on Instagram featuring the newborn.
Unique Name and Family Tradition
Annie, 33, announced the name in a social media post, explaining that the couple plan to call their daughter Wish but wanted to keep the 'R' tradition to honour their sons: Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and 14-month-old Rezon.
In the montage, Wish wears a knitted white dress and tiny booties. Annie wrote: "We wished, we waited, and then came you.. So wanted, So loved.. This was the only name to ever belong to you.. Wish Walker." The photos also show Wish snuggled with Kyle, who is now a father of seven, and being doted on by her big brothers.
Family Joy and Privacy Request
Annie, who met Kyle when they were in high school, had announced the birth last month on Instagram: "Our precious baby girl is here safe. Speechless with the amount of love we all feel and the joy she's already brought to our family." She added: "Hoping now we have announced our special news everyone respects our request for privacy as we enjoy these special moments. Thank you for everyone who has supported us with well wishes for the pregnancy and birth."
Before the public announcement, a source told The Sun that Kyle was by Annie's side during the birth, saying: "Kyle and Annie are over the over the moon to have welcomed a little girl into the family home. Kyle didn't leave Annie's side, they are just on cloud nine ready to begin this new chapter."
Family Reaction and Recent Reports
Another source told the Daily Mail: "Annie, Kyle and the four lads are absolutely made up with their little princess. Annie’s finally got her mini-me, and Kyle’s taken to being a proper girl dad like he was born for it." The source added: "It feels like this is the moment everything’s really fallen into place, family life, lots opportunities ahead and a bright, positive future. They’re buzzing."
Last year, reports suggested Annie was pursuing a divorce from Kyle over his infidelities with Lauren Goodman, with whom he shares two children. However, the Mirror later confirmed this was not the case, with sources close to the couple dismissing any suggestion that Annie remained with Kyle for financial reasons as "nonsense."
In February, Annie announced the pregnancy in a defiant post: "We're delighted to be expecting our baby girl. I won't be entertaining any speculation or drama around such a personal, private and happy moment for me and my family!"
