Ruben Amorim will coach against his former club Manchester United as AC Milan boss on Saturday, facing several of the signings he made during his 14 months at Old Trafford.
Michael Carrick's United travel to Wroclaw, Poland, for a pre-season friendly against the Italian giants. Amorim, 41, was appointed Milan manager in June and was relieved of his duties at United in January after a turbulent spell.
Carrick helped United to a third-place finish and was given the manager's job permanently. All seven of Amorim's signings have stayed at the club.

Ayden Heaven - 5/10
Heaven was Amorim's first signing, arriving from Arsenal's academy for £1.5m in January 2025. An ankle injury made his first half-season lacklustre, but in 2025/26 he started 11 league matches and was named United's Player of the Month for December 2025. At 19, he is a star of the future but hasn't yet shown he can start long-term.
Patrick Dorgu - 6/10
Dorgu was the only other January signing. He made his debut at right-back against Leicester, despite arriving as an attacking left-back from Lecce for an initial £25.2m. Once shifted to the left, he shone and was instrumental in United reaching the Europa League final. He scored four goals and provided four assists in 2025/26, sometimes as a winger.
Matheus Cunha - 8/10
Cunha was signed for £62.5m from Wolves. He netted 10 goals and provided two assists in his first season and had a solid World Cup with Brazil. He will be crucial for Carrick's side.
Diego Leon - 4/10
Leon joined for £3.3m from Cerro Porteno last July as a youth prospect. The 19-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance but played 13 games in Premier League 2 for the Under-21s. A loan move could be on the horizon.
Bryan Mbeumo - 8/10
Mbeumo arrived from Brentford for an initial £65m and instantly became a talisman. His 11 goals and three assists made him joint-top scorer, playing 34 games across all competitions.
Benjamin Sesko - 7/10
Sesko completed a trio of big-name attacking signings last summer. It took time, but especially under Carrick, he showed glimpses of the talent that earned his £65m move from RB Leipzig. He was joint-top scorer with Mbeumo and had a knack for important late goals.
Senne Lammens - 9/10
Lammens was signed from Royal Antwerp for £18.2m on deadline day and has been a revelation. He made 32 appearances in 2025/26, kept a clean sheet 39 per cent of the time, and had a 66.9 save percentage, among the best in the top flight. Purchasing him looks like a masterstroke.
