Clockwork Carnage rules and Dragunov hint

The Clockwork Carnage match, created by Ospreay and familiar to fans of UK promotion Pro Wrestling EVE, combines aspects of a gauntlet and iron man match. Two wrestlers start at random, another joins every three minutes, and anyone pinned or submitted before all eight have entered is eliminated. Once the final wrestler enters, the remaining lineup face a 15-minute scoring phase where every pin or submission counts as one point, with the most falls winning.

During Wednesday’s Dynamite, a video package aired that all but confirmed the impending arrival of Ilja Dragunov, months after his WWE exit. The vignette showed a man in a suit moving his arm in a familiar way as music befitting the Mad Dragon played with a metronome ticking.

Adam Copeland’s retirement announcement in 2027 was also a major talking point, with fans reacting to the news that he will hang up his boots on his terms, having returned at the Royal Rumble in 2020 after a career-shortening injury in 2011.
