Astravaganza Entertainment's production of We Will Rock You will take to the stage at Newcastle City Hall next week for two performances only, on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20.
The musical, which first opened at London's Dominion Theatre in 2002, features a score packed with Queen hits including Radio Ga Ga, Killer Queen, I Want It All, Another One Bites the Dust, It's A Kind of Magic and Bohemian Rhapsody.
Local performers in the cast
The cast includes newly crowned UK Drag Idol champion and Newcastle cabaret icon Betty Thunderthighs, alongside local performers Deborah Taylor Smith, who played Nancy in Oliver in 2023, Danny Ducasse, who impressed as the Beast in Beauty & the Beast, and Gareth Lilley as Commander Khashogi.
Astravaganza Entertainment have previously produced shows such as Beauty & the Beast, Oliver and Nativity, and received positive reviews for Calendar Girls in August.
Ticket availability
Tickets for opening night on Monday are nearly all sold out, but good availability remains for Tuesday's performance.
