Susan Boyle's life and career to be celebrated in new BBC documentary

Susan Boyle's journey from a small Scottish town to international stardom will be explored in a new BBC documentary airing over the festive period. There's Only One Susan Boyle will air on BBC One Scotland and BBC iPlayer on December 31, featuring an interview with the singer alongside contributions from her friends and family.

Rise to Fame

Boyle shot to fame in 2009 when she auditioned for Britain's Got Talent with a performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Misérables. Her rendition of the song blew the judges away and went viral around the world.

The programme, from Tern TV, will document Boyle's childhood in Blackburn, West Lothian, to the audition that launched her music career.

Boyle said: "I'm delighted to be sharing my story in this new documentary with the team at Tern. My life changed overnight after Britain's Got Talent, and it has been an extraordinary and unexpected journey ever since. I hope the programme reminds viewers to stay true to themselves and follow their dreams."

Album Success

Boyle's debut album, I Dreamed A Dream, was released in 2009 and went to number one in the UK. She has released a further six albums with her most recent, A Wonderful World, coming out in 2016.
