The Duchess of Sussex has revealed a new kitchen, reportedly at her new house in the UK, featuring a stainless steel cooker, oak cabinets and a silver-mounted wall tap.
The sneak peek, shared on her brand As Ever's Instagram page, has prompted an interior designer to comment on how Meghan Markle's taste has changed over the past eight years.
Designer's verdict on Meghan's kitchen
Jordana Ashkenazi, Founder and Design Director of Element One House, told the Daily Mail that there is "definitely a thread running through all of Meghan's kitchens".
She said: "Meghan appears to like a serious cooker, natural timber, open or accessible storage, handmade-looking accessories and a kitchen that feels functional rather than formal. The aesthetic changes, but the ingredients are remarkably consistent."
Ms Ashkenazi added that it "feels like a much stronger evolution of Meghan's taste. It's still farmhouse in spirit, but this feels much more contemporary and European than Frogmore. There's less of the traditional English country-kitchen language and more of that understated, organic look that has become very popular in high-end interiors."
Details of the new kitchen
In one of the new pictures, the duchess could be seen stirring a Mauviel M. copper pot, with a cookware set of six retailing for £1,759. Two wooden shelves featured a vase, a chopping board, plates and her As Ever wares.
According to the outlet, Meghan's cooker appeared to be from the 2017 Thermador 48'' Pro Grand range, with the latest versions priced between £10,000 and £15,000. The snap also included a wall-mounted tap, marble kitchen countertops and a big wooden extractor. Other details included a second chopping board, greenery and fruit.
Royal fans questioned whether the new kitchen was located in the Cotswolds, where the Sussexes relocated since the late summer.
