The BBC crime drama Dublin Murders has shot to the number one spot on Netflix's trending top 10 after recently being added to the streaming service in the UK. Created by Sarah Phelps (The Sixth Commandment), the series follows two detectives investigating the mysterious death of a young girl.
Originally airing on BBC One and RTÉ One in 2019, the show is adapted from Tana French's best-selling crime novels. It was previously available on Disney Plus and is now reaching a new audience on Netflix, with all eight episodes available to stream.
Starring Sarah Greene (Bad Sisters) and Killian Scott (The Capture) as detectives Cassie Maddox and Rob Reilly, the pair are called to a crime scene when a 13-year-old is found dead in the woods. They soon suspect the killing may be linked to a past missing persons case involving three young boys from the 1980s.
The series received positive reviews upon its initial release. The Daily Telegraph praised its "countless plot twists" in a four-star review, calling it a "knotty Irish crime thriller" with a "compelling conclusion". ScreenRant noted it offers a "satisfyingly dark and twisty crime thriller, anchored by strong performances".
Dublin Murders is also still available on BBC iPlayer, alongside its new home on Netflix UK.
