Jenson Cole (Ryan Clayton) has made a major discovery in Monday's (August 24) episode of Hollyoaks, now available on Channel 4 streaming, as he stumbled upon something Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) has been searching for weeks.
Warren and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) had obtained a bunch of crypto wallets owned by Gemma Johnson (Tisha Merry), which they believed were key to their fresh start in Miami. However, they lacked the seed phrases needed to access the digital money.
Undercover cop revelation
Earlier in the month, Jenson broke into Warren and Mercedes' flat to get his hands on the crypto wallets. He later confirmed to Warren that he was still alive after an attempt on his life, expressing a desire to get to know him as a big brother. But a huge twist followed, with scenes confirming Jenson was an undercover cop intent on taking down both Warren and Gemma.
After Jenson outed Gemma as the ringleader of the gang operation possessing the crypto wallets, Gemma returned to the flat where Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) and grandad Froggy Black (John Middleton) previously resided to shred documents containing sensitive information. Later, she gifted Donny Clarke (Louis Emerick) with a painting to celebrate his success at the force. Donny and Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) accepted the odd present and hung it on the wall.
Discovery in the painting
Gemma slept with Jenson in subsequent scenes, and things took another unexpected turn when Jenson glared at the new painting on the wall, leading to his discovery. The painting contains a series of smaller images within the larger one, and Jenson realised these images represent the seed phrases needed to access the crypto wallets.
'Gotcha!', he said with a smile. The question remains: what does Jenson intend to do with the seed phrases? Will he use the information to ensure Gemma is taken down, or does he want the fortune for himself?
