Thousands of students across the UK will find out on Thursday, August 13, whether they have secured their university or college places, as A-Level results are released. Grades range from A* to E, with a U grade for unclassified results.
UCAS Track update time
On results day, UCAS Track is expected to update at 8am. However, due to high demand, individual statuses may take time to load. Students will see whether they have met their firm choice, insurance choice, or are in clearing.
What to do if you're in clearing
If a student has not been placed by mid-morning, UCAS advises considering a grade review or remark, or exploring clearing. In clearing, students can contact universities directly to discuss course suitability and may receive verbal offers. They should add one choice to their application, available from 1pm on results day.
Getting your grades
UCAS does not display exact grades; students must collect results from their school or college, or receive them online or by post. Results are released from 8am, and students should check their institution's opening times for collection.
