A Texas middle school social studies teacher has been arrested for allegedly filming female students undressing in the locker room and posting the video online. Thomas Hosman, 45, was taken into custody at Louise Junior High School on Friday.
Police said Hosman did not appear surprised when informed of the charge of invasive visual recording. The camera was reportedly hidden in the girls' locker room in March, according to Superintendent Dr. Garth Oliver.
The video, showing two girls changing, prompted an investigation by internet crime detectives from Houston, nearly 100 miles away. Authorities have informed the parents of the two identified students and are examining Hosman's computer for further evidence.
Hosman has been placed on administrative leave pending a termination hearing and was released on a $60,000 bond. This arrest follows that of Clifford Hooks, a PE teacher at the same school, who was charged with indecency with a child for alleged sexual contact with a student in the gymnasium and bathroom.
