A mathematics teacher employed at a Christian school in Greater Manchester has been handed a prison sentence after confessing to a prolonged campaign of abuse against both a vulnerable girl and his spouse.
Christopher Sill, 38, who taught at the independent Whalley Range School for Girls, received a four-year and three-month custodial sentence at Manchester Crown Court after pleading guilty to multiple serious offences.
A Pattern of Systematic Abuse
The court heard disturbing details of Sill's predatory behaviour, which included sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13 on multiple occasions. The abuse represented a profound betrayal of the trust placed in him as an educator and authority figure.
In a separate but equally troubling aspect of the case, Sill also admitted to engaging in coercive and controlling behaviour towards his wife over an extended period. This pattern of domestic abuse revealed a deeply troubling character beneath his professional exterior.
