A childcare worker in Georgia, USA, has been arrested and charged with first-degree child cruelty after a toddler was found with a face smeared in blood and suffering from multiple injuries.
The shocking incident unfolded at the Kidz Academy daycare in Fayetteville, sparking a major police investigation and widespread outrage.
Disturbing Discovery
According to police reports, the investigation began when the young child was collected from the facility. The parents were horrified to find their child's face covered in blood, which had allegedly been "wiped all over" the child's features.
Further medical examination revealed the toddler had also sustained bruising and other injuries consistent with abuse.
The Arrest
The Fayetteville Police Department moved quickly to identify a suspect. Soraya McCall, 26, an employee of the daycare, was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
McCall now faces a serious charge of cruelty to children in the first degree. She was booked at the Fayette County Jail but has since been released on a $5,000 bond.

The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising serious questions about safeguarding procedures at childcare facilities.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing. Police are urging anyone with further information to come forward as they work to piece together the full sequence of events.
