Bullied Girl's Prom Dress Torn by Bullies, Community Rallies for Second Bash

An 11-year-old girl from Blackpool, Lancashire, was left in tears after bullies allegedly tore her prom dress to pieces. Jessica Robinson attended her primary school prom last month wearing a £450 blue dress, but a bully repeatedly stamped on it while others filmed and laughed, according to her mother Micha.

Micha said Jessica has been bullied for three years, and the prom incident left her so distraught that she refused to leave her room or attend the final two days of school. The family reported the matter to the police.

However, the local community has rallied to give Jessica a 'prom re-do' on Saturday, August 23. Libbie Cannon, owner of Notorious bar, is offering her venue free of charge for the 'Ballgowns & Bravery' event. Other businesses are providing a red carpet, balloons, security, and a DJ, all free of charge.

Jessica's dress has been repaired for free, and she plans to wear it again. Her mother said Jessica is excited and hopes to replace the upsetting memories with happier ones.
