A 16-year-old boy has died three days after being struck by a vehicle in Lewisham, southeast London. The incident occurred on Manor Lane at approximately 2:20pm on Thursday, July 11. Emergency services, including paramedics and police, attended the scene and found the teenager with serious injuries. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to a hospital for further care. Despite the efforts of medical staff, the boy died on Sunday, July 14.
Arrest and Investigation
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and drug driving. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries. The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
Detective Sergeant Rob Harris, who is leading the investigation, stated: “Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family following this heartbreaking incident. My team and I continue to work at pace to understand what happened. As we build a picture of the circumstances, we are keen to hear from any witnesses – particularly those with dashcam footage – who saw a white Range Rover Evoque in or around Manor Lane on the day of the incident.”

The boy's family are being supported by specialist officers. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage of a white Range Rover Evoque in the area to come forward.
