Reality Star's Business Disrupted by London Phone Mugging

Amanda Cronin, the Real Housewives of London star known for having the longest legs in Belgravia, has revealed how a brazen phone thief disrupted her skincare business in what she describes as lawless London under Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan. The 57-year-old entrepreneur, who previously dated Wham! star Andrew Ridgeley, was targeted just around the corner from her home.

The Brazen Theft That Shocked a Business Owner

"I was turning the corner into my street, looking at some messages, then this mugger appeared," Cronin explained during an interview at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. The thief snatched her smartphone before racing away on an electric bicycle, leaving her shocked and upset as she watched him disappear into the distance with her device.

While relieved she wasn't physically attacked, the theft created significant problems for her business operations. "I run my clinic on WhatsApp, so that was a problem," she revealed. "I couldn't get the WhatsApp back for a few days," causing disruption to her skincare enterprise.

Growing Trend of Phone Thefts Plagues Londoners

Cronin has now joined other high-profile Londoners in taking precautions against the city's phone theft epidemic. She now wears her phone on a strap around her neck, similar to Reform UK MP Richard Tice, who recently demonstrated his own anti-theft wrist strap.

The reality star isn't alone in her experience. Earlier this month, TV presenter Alexa Chung narrowly avoided having her phone stolen in London's East End, while former It-girl Lady Victoria Hervey was left shaken after a similar incident in Pimlico involving an e-bike rider.

Despite the concerning trend, Cronin remains committed to London. "I don't like to be negative about the city," she added. "I talk it up and always try and be positive, but there are problems."
