Tuesday's (May 26) episode witnessed a rift emerge amongst cast members as tensions reached boiling point. At the heart of the drama was the conduct of Meghann, which was described as troubling by both viewers and fellow participants alike.

Her husband Derrek attempts to broach the subject of starting a family, enquiring whether she wishes to have children. She becomes inexplicably defensive, admitting the conversation irritates her, despite sharing his desire for kids, reports OK!.

She informs him that his manner of raising the topic has aggravated her. When he explains it's because she becomes defensive, she storms out declaring: 'This is not a game for me.'

However, the situation remains far from resolved. The brides and grooms separately congregate in one of their flats for individual evenings out, though Meghann refuses to divulge what is truly troubling her to any of the other women. She also declines to disclose to Derrek details about her evening with the girls. She requests he move into the bedroom away from the cameras and appears to overlook they're still fitted with microphones.

Meghann reveals she remains upset from the previous evening but Derrek is uncertain what he's done wrong. After all this, a teaser clip broadcast at the episode's conclusion shows the pair in bed with Derrek telling the camera: 'We've got a lot to talk about now because this changes everything for us.'

It wasn't long before viewers watching from home voiced their opinions on the latest developments and they were divided. Some expressed worry about Meghann.

One wrote online: 'Meghann's behaviour is extremely concerning. They need to put get her off the show at this point. She causing that man trauma.'

Another contributed: 'Meghann should not have chosen to be on Married At First Sight......she needs to be single and stay that way....she does not want a husband or a man, she is very hot and cold and weird.'

Someone else responded: 'Meghann just seems to want problems and chooses to play the victim all the time. I don't know who in their right mind thinks that raising your voice when your partner is trying to have a conversation about your future will solve anything.'

'She completely lost me when she basically took charge of deciding where Zoey, her dog, would sleep without even giving Derrek a chance to share his opinion.'

Yet not everyone was critical of Meghann, with one supporter commenting: 'Men who demand lots of children are a bit of a red flag to me nowadays because they're not the one who has to birth them all and then not the one who is societally expected to be looking after them.'

Married At First Sight USA continues tomorrow at 8pm on E4 and streaming on Channel 4.
