Jailed UK Drill Rapper Brags About Shooting People 'Out of Boredom' and Uses Mugshot as Album Cover | Exclusive
Jailed Rapper Brags About Shootings on Prison-Recorded EP

In a shocking display of bravado from behind bars, incarcerated British drill artist Double Lz has openly boasted about shooting people 'out of boredom' in newly recorded lyrics. The member of the notorious Offensive (OFB) gang has even used his own prison mugshot as the cover art for a new EP recorded from within the prison system, raising alarm over security and the glorification of violence.

The four-track EP, titled 'Green Light', was produced and released while the rapper, whose real name is Leon Willings, is serving a sentence at HMP Thameside. The lyrics contain graphic and unrepentant references to violent acts, including lines about shooting people simply to alleviate boredom.

Security Breach and Public Outcry

The fact that the music was recorded, produced, and distributed from within a secure prison has sparked serious questions about security protocols. A source close to the investigation expressed disbelief, stating the situation is 'beyond a joke' and highlights a significant failure in preventing criminal activity from within jail walls.

Ken Marsh, Chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation, condemned the act, emphasising the deep distress such glorification of violence causes to the families of victims and the wider community. He called for immediate action to investigate how this was allowed to happen.

A Pattern of Behaviour

This is not the first time Double Lz has made headlines from prison. Earlier this year, he was filmed in his cell alongside another jailed OFB member, SJ, in a video that mocked their sentences and flashed gang signs. Willings was originally jailed for his involvement in a large-scale drugs operation.

The continued ability of inmates to engage in such activities points to a systemic issue within the prison system, where modern technology is being exploited to further criminal notoriety and influence.

The Response

The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that they are urgently investigating the matter. A spokesperson stated that prisoners who breach rules face serious consequences, including additional time added to their sentence and confinement to their cell. The incident has intensified the debate around the influence of drill music and its links to real-world violence in London.
