New York Knicks WAGs celebrated their partners reaching the NBA Finals on Monday night alongside superfan Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner. The A-list couple sealed the Knicks' dominant victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers with a kiss as they watched the actor's beloved team reach the NBA Finals from some of the best seats in the house.
Courtside Celebration
Not to be outdone by Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, the actor, 30, and reality TV star, 28, shared a romantic moment during the Knicks' dominant 130-93 victory, which sealed the team's spot in the Finals. The couple, who have been dating for three years, were swept away by the jubilant scenes, sharing a passionate kiss the moment they realized the Knicks were heading to the Finals.
WAGs Join the Festivities
Chalamet and Jenner were then in the thick of the celebrations on the court as Jalen Brunson and his teammates partied. They were joined by the WAGs, who posed for a group photo with a jubilant Chalamet and Jenner. The picture was initially posted by Brooke Rose, daughter of Knicks president Leon Rose. Rose tagged Ali Brunson, who shared it to her own story, as well as Karl-Anthony Towns' fiancée Jordyn Woods and Josh Hart's wife, Shannon.
The loved-up couple packed on the PDA courtside. 'We're going to the finals!' Chalamet shouted as Jenner cheered along. He also told Brunson, 'You’re the king, bro.' The billionaire business mogul even planted a sweet peck on her beaming boyfriend's cheek, flinging her arms around the elated Hollywood star.
Celebrity Exodus to Cleveland
Madison Square Garden is renowned for its iconic celebrity row, but the Knicks' A-list supporters made the trip from the Big Apple to Cleveland. Chalamet, a renowned Knicks fanatic, was not missing out on the chance to see his beloved team reach the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years. The Marty Supreme star had snubbed the Met Gala this month to watch the Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the playoffs, leaving Jenner to attend the fashion extravaganza alone.
But the mother-of-two was ever the doting girlfriend on Monday night as she joined Chalamet, sporting a blue Knicks t-shirt. She cut a casual figure, pairing the New York merchandise with light blue jeans, simple black sandals, and a black Chanel purse. Meanwhile, Chalamet dressed for the occasion in a vintage-style black leather jacket embroidered with New York's logo.
Later in the night, the duo were seen having an animated celebration while sitting next to 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan. Chalamet appeared to have made the journey to Cleveland with director Spike Lee, sharing a selfie soon after they touched down in Ohio. Ben Stiller, who had been criticized for skipping Game 1 of the conference semifinals to attend the Met Gala, wasn't making the same mistake again. He shared a video to social media two hours before tip-off, showing him traveling to Cleveland.
Cavaliers Try to Block Celebrities
The star-studded display comes after Cleveland's attempts to block New York's celebrities from the front row. Fat Joe, another famous Knicks superfan, revealed that the Cavaliers had even taken his tickets after he purchased a front-row view for Game 4. 'We had bought some courtside tickets to the game and once they found out it was superfan Fat Joe, they were like, I can't sit courtside,' he told ESPN's NBA Today. 'New York Knick fans can't sit courtside. They took the tickets away courtside after we purchased it, so shame on you all.'
New York's influx of famous faces comes after the Cavaliers enjoyed the support of their own superstars on Saturday night. Swift and Kelce had enjoyed a courtside date night for the basketball showdown between the Knicks and Cavaliers, cozying up to one another in their front-row seats during Game 3. Kelce, a native of nearby Cleveland Heights, grew up rooting for Cleveland sports teams. He was particularly animated throughout the evening, at one point chugging a can of Garage Beer, the brand he co-owns with brother Jason Kelce, in an act that appeared targeted at giving the crowd an extra boost.
The Knicks will play either the San Antonio Spurs or Oklahoma City Thunder in the Finals.
