Man Interviewed Under Caution in Mohamed Al Fayed Abuse Investigation
A man in his 60s has been interviewed under caution by the Metropolitan Police as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged abuse by the late Mohamed Al Fayed. The man is being questioned on suspicion of aiding and abetting rape and human trafficking, marking a significant development in the high-profile case.
Ongoing Police Probe into Sexual Offences
This follows the interviewing of three women, aged in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, between 25 February and 5 March, on similar suspicions. The police investigation is active and ongoing, with no arrests made to date, despite Al Fayed's death in 2023. Over 150 victims have reported allegations of sexual assault, rape, sexual exploitation, and human trafficking, highlighting the scale of the alleged offences.
Commitment to Justice for Victims
The Metropolitan Police have emphasised their commitment to bringing anyone involved to justice, regardless of the passage of time or the death of Al Fayed. The investigation underscores the serious nature of the accusations and the determination to address historical abuse cases thoroughly.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, as they continue to piece together the events surrounding these allegations. The case has drawn widespread attention due to Al Fayed's prominence as the former owner of Harrods, adding a layer of public scrutiny to the proceedings.
