Iran video gives chilling instructions on killing Melania Trump

A chilling Iranian video offers instructions on how to kill Melania Trump, with threats also directed at her son Barron. The video, released by the IRGC-affiliated news agency Tasnim, features a Farsi-speaking narrator outlining potential assassination plots against the First Lady.

Details of the threat

The narrator highlights Melania's love of fashion as a weakness, showing images of her in a motorcade and at her favorite designer stores. The video suggests a poisoning scheme that could be carried out by “freedom fighters” with access to locations she often visits. These locations could be “suitable for operations by global freedom fighters,” the video notes, proposing that a nerve agent could poison any clothes she might purchase.

At the start, the narrator claims “the documents used in this video are the result of extracting information from several anonymous security networks and satellite images,” though much of the information is publicly available details about Melania’s habits. The video ends with the statement: “Barron, wait for us.”

Broader context of threats

Barron Trump was also depicted in a billboard in Iran alongside Melania and Ivanka Trump. All three were shown with their eyes closed, with the word “KILLED” in red across the top and text reading: “Hey, Terrorist! Get ready to die.” Since the US and Israeli raids on Iran in late February that killed the late Supreme Leader, the regime has vowed revenge against Donald Trump.

Earlier this month, Trump posted on his social media site that Iran had made threats “to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate” him, adding that 1,000 “missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat.”

Iranian leadership response

Hours later, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said Iranians would continue to avenge the killing of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had been mourned in funeral events throughout Iran. His son stated that retaliation “is the will of our nation and must certainly be carried out.”

Another billboard this week in Iran showed a red MAGA hat with what appears to be an illustration of Trump with blood streaming from his head. A further billboard displayed AI-generated imagery of Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio drowning in a pool of blood.
