Ten Men Face Serious Charges After Five-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Raped at Chemsex Party
In a deeply distressing case that has shocked authorities, ten men have been formally charged following an investigation into the alleged rape of a five-year-old boy at a so-called "chemsex" party in France. The young victim was reportedly brought to the event by his own father, according to official statements from the public prosecutor's office in Lille.
Horrific Details Emerge from Lille Investigation
The incident, which occurred between November 2024 and February 2025, involved what prosecutors describe as "acts of sexual violence aggravated by the use of chemical substances." Chemsex parties typically involve consenting adults using drugs like GHB, mephedrone or methamphetamine to enhance sexual experiences, but this case represents a horrifying departure from that pattern with the involvement of a young child.
According to the Lille public prosecutor's office, the five-year-old child was "brought into contact with adult males by his own father" and subjected to multiple serious offences. The charges include:
- Rape and sexual assault with administration of substances to the victim
- Rape and sexual assault with torture or acts of barbarity
- Administering substances to a minor under 15 without their knowledge to alter judgement or control
Investigation Uncovers Wider Network
The investigation, which began in February 2025, has confirmed the basic facts of the case and led to the indictment of ten men aged between 29 and 50. Nine of these defendants have been remanded in custody, while one of the main suspects tragically took his own life while in detention on June 21, 2025.
Authorities revealed that a video recording of the criminal acts was shared among attendees and numerous other men, leading to additional charges related to "possession and distribution of pornographic images of a minor using an electronic communications network." The investigation has also focused on unauthorised possession of narcotics.
Geographical Spread and Legal Consequences
What began as a local investigation in Lille has expanded significantly, with police arresting a resident of the Bas-Rhin region on January 18, 2026. According to reports from Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace, officers raided the home of a 30-year-old man living with his parents near Saverne as part of this widening probe.
The public prosecutor's office has emphasised the severity of the charges, noting that the maximum penalty for rape with acts of torture or barbarity carries a potential life imprisonment sentence under French law. The case was referred to an investigating judge on February 22, 2025, but details have only recently become publicly available.
Victim's Current Situation
The young victim, now six years old, has been placed in the care of his mother following these traumatic events. The prosecutor's office confirmed that "the father had separated from her before the events took place" and that the child "is receiving special care" to help him recover from the ordeal.
This case has highlighted the disturbing intersection of drug-facilitated sexual abuse and child exploitation, with authorities continuing their investigation into how such a vulnerable child came to be exposed to this dangerous environment. The public disclosure of the investigation came after media reports prompted the Lille public prosecutor's office to issue an official statement about the ongoing case.
