An urgent search is underway in Oregon for a 96-year-old woman who vanished after leaving her home for a doctor's appointment and never arrived.
Vinetta "Nette" McWhorter was last seen departing her residence in the 6300 block of Windsor Island Road N in Marion County at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 18 June. She was driving her white 2006 Honda CR-V, bearing Oregon license plate LLR 872.
Authorities and family members hold grave concerns for her welfare, stating that Ms. McWhorter suffers from a medical condition that could cause her to become disoriented. She is described as 5ft 2in tall, weighing about 130lbs, with grey hair and brown eyes.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation and has appealed to the public for assistance. "We are asking everyone to keep an eye out for her and her vehicle," a spokesperson said. "Check your properties, any outbuildings, or rural areas she may have inadvertently driven into."
