British Transport Police (BTP) have issued an urgent public appeal, releasing the name and an image of a man they are seeking to question in connection with a serious sexual assault reported at a railway station. Detectives are investigating the rape of a woman at Nuneaton railway station in Warwickshire, which occurred on the night of March 13, 2026.
Appeal for Information on Billy Ormiston
The individual named by authorities is Billy Ormiston, aged 36, who is understood to have connections to several local areas including Nuneaton, Coventry, and Atherstone in north Warwickshire. In a formal statement, BTP emphasised that members of the public should not approach Ormiston under any circumstances if they spot him, but instead immediately dial 999 to report his whereabouts.

The incident prompted a significant police response, with a section of Nuneaton railway station cordoned off to allow forensic teams to conduct thorough inquiries. Specially trained officers are providing ongoing support to the victim as the investigation continues.
