PC Pamela Pritchard guilty of gross misconduct after groping colleagues
Police officer guilty of gross misconduct after drunken groping

A serving police officer has been found guilty of gross misconduct after a drunken night out during which she groped two colleagues and tried to kiss an inspector.

Drunken Assaults on Colleagues

PC Pamela Pritchard, aged 29, committed the offences during a boozy social event at a rugby club. The North Wales Police officer was found to have sexually touched a female colleague's breasts on the dancefloor. She also twice put her hands on a male officer's groin area.

In a further incident, Pritchard attempted to kiss Inspector Gareth Parry while he was standing at the bar, an advance which caused him to pull away. She also told another male officer 'I want to f*** you' during the same evening.

Breach of Professional Standards

Following a hearing, Assistant Chief Constable Chris Allsop stated that Pritchard's behaviour had breached the force's fundamental standards of professional conduct. The breaches specifically related to authority, respect and courtesy.

ACC Allsop, speaking on behalf of the misconduct panel, said: 'The panel find the conduct is of a level that could justify dismissal and is therefore at the level of gross misconduct.'

Consequences and Fallout

The ruling marks a serious disciplinary outcome for the shamed officer. Gross misconduct is the most severe finding in police disciplinary proceedings and typically results in dismissal from the force.

The case highlights ongoing issues of professional behaviour and accountability within police services. The incidents, which took place last year, were described as having humiliated the colleagues involved.
