Police Scotland has confirmed that the body of a man has been recovered in the Glencoe area of the Scottish Highlands, believed to be that of missing American tourist Timothy Rosser.
Discovery and Identification
On Sunday evening, authorities announced that a body was found in the Glencoe region. Formal identification has yet to take place, but Mr Rosser's family has been informed of the development. The 60-year-old was last seen on Tuesday, 19 May, driving a black MH hire car in Glencoe.
Investigation Details
Police stated that it was "out of character" for Mr Rosser not to have contacted his relatives. He had also failed to check into pre-booked hotels. Officers have indicated that the death is not believed to be suspicious, and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Timothy Rosser, an American tourist, had been reported missing from the area earlier this week. His family has been notified of the recovery of the body, though formal identification is pending.
