Man, 26, Shot Dead in Car Near Euston Station as Gunman Remains at Large
A 26-year-old man was shot dead while sitting in a car near Euston station in central London on Saturday night, according to the Metropolitan Police. The incident occurred on Chalton Street, where the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite paramedics' efforts to save his life.
Emergency Response and Investigation Details
Emergency services were called to the area at approximately 11pm after reports of gunshots echoed across the neighbourhood. Forensic investigators have been deployed to the scene to gather evidence and piece together the events leading to the fatal shooting.
Police have reviewed CCTV footage which shows a suspect arriving and departing the location on a bicycle. The assailant fired multiple shots at the victim, who was seated inside a white Nissan Juke. Authorities have informed the young man's next of kin, who are receiving support from specialist officers during this tragic time.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, leading the investigation, addressed the community's concerns: "We are aware of the concern that this will cause for the local community, and want to reassure them that we are working hard to identify the attacker and bring them to justice."
