Police have launched a public appeal following a disturbing incident in Westminster, where a 12-year-old girl was attacked by a stranger in a local park. The assault occurred in broad daylight, leaving the community shaken.
Details of the Attack
The young victim was approached by an unknown male suspect who physically assaulted her before fleeing the scene. Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to the area but were unable to locate the attacker.
Police Statement
"We're treating this as a serious assault and are following all available leads," a police spokesperson said. "The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5'10" tall with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket at the time of the incident."
Appeal for Information
Authorities are urging anyone who was in the area or who might have witnessed suspicious activity to come forward. Detectives are particularly interested in speaking to:
