Ex-soldier petrol bombs Scottish police station

A former soldier has been caught on CCTV carrying out a terrifying petrol bomb attack on a police station in Scotland.

CCTV Captures Brazen Attack

Jamie Taylor, 34, a former soldier, targeted a Police Scotland station in Livingston on 30 May. CCTV footage from the scene showed him throwing three homemade Molotov cocktails at police vans parked outside the building.

His stated intention was to "blow it up", creating a scene of significant danger for officers and the public.

Officer's Narrow Escape

The situation became even more perilous when PC Kirsty Forsyth responded to the initial blaze. As she bravely tackled the fire with a fire extinguisher, Taylor launched one of the petrol bombs directly towards her.

PC Forsyth narrowly avoided serious injury during the shocking incident, which could have had fatal consequences.

Guilty Plea and Awaiting Sentencing

Taylor was apprehended by police shortly after the attack. He has since pleaded guilty to two charges of breaching the 1883 Explosives Act.

The case has been moved to the High Court in Stirling, where Taylor is due to be sentenced in January.
