A Ryanair flight from Morocco to the UK was thrown into chaos and forced to make an unscheduled emergency landing after a drunken passenger became violently abusive towards both crew and fellow travellers.
The FR 2984 service, travelling from Agadir to London Stansted, was deliberately diverted to an isolated stand on the tarmac upon its arrival on Tuesday evening. Eyewitnesses described a scene of utter disruption as the man, who appeared heavily intoxicated, shouted obscenities and refused to comply with safety instructions.

Fellow passengers reported that the man's behaviour escalated rapidly during the flight. His loud, aggressive shouting and general unruliness created a climate of fear and anxiety onboard, making it impossible for the cabin crew to perform their duties safely.
"The cabin crew were absolutely fantastic in a very difficult situation," one passenger recounted. "This guy was completely out of control, drunk and abusive. It was scary."
Swift Police Response on the Tarmac
Understanding the severity of the situation, the flight's captain made the decision to alert authorities on the ground. The plane was met by a team of officers from Essex Police, who were waiting to apprehend the disruptive individual.
In a dramatic conclusion captured by onlookers, the passenger, who was seemingly unable to walk, had to be physically carried off the aircraft by police. He was escorted directly into a waiting vehicle and taken into custody.
Ryanair and Police Statements
A Ryanair spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating: "The crew of this flight from Agadir to London Stansted (Sept 24) requested police assistance upon landing after a passenger became disruptive in-flight. The aircraft landed normally and police removed the individual. We sincerely apologise to affected customers for any inconvenience caused by this individual's behaviour."
An Essex Police spokesman added: "We were called to reports of a disruptive passenger on an inbound flight to Stansted Airport just before 5.35pm on Tuesday, September 24. The man was escorted from the aircraft and was later issued a conditional caution."
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the severe consequences of air rage, which can lead to massive delays, significant financial costs for airlines, and potential criminal records for those involved.
