Police have officially identified the victim of a fatal stabbing in Leicester as Khaleed Oladipo, a 20-year-old cybersecurity student at De Montfort University. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday evening on Oxford Street, close to the university campus, where Mr Oladipo was attacked and later died in hospital.

The family tribute disclosed that Mr Oladipo was a devoted Arsenal supporter who had played football since the age of four. Investigators believe he was on his way home to watch an Arsenal match when the attack occurred. "We believe he was on his way home to watch the game later that night when he was stabbed and killed," the family stated.

Leicestershire Police confirmed that a post-mortem examination conducted on Thursday determined Mr Oladipo died from a single stab wound to the chest. An 18-year-old suspect arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody as investigations continue.
