Chick-fil-A Robber Threatens Staff: 'Serve Me or Die About Some Chicken'
Chick-fil-A Robber Threatens Staff Over Chicken in Atlanta

A man threatened to kill staff at a Chick-fil-A in Atlanta during a brazen robbery on Tuesday night, demanding service or telling workers to "get ready to die about some chicken." The incident, which occurred at 9:40 pm, resulted in the theft of $200, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Footage Reveals Terrifying Drive-Through Confrontation

The APD released surveillance footage showing the suspect leaning through one of the restaurant's drive-through windows. Dressed in a black hoodie, the man waves his hands aggressively and repeatedly taps a shelf while issuing threats. In response, Chick-fil-A employees are seen fleeing the window area, with police confirming they escaped due to the suspect's violent warnings.

"You are going to serve me or get ready to die about some chicken," the robber declared, as reported by authorities. The video then captures the suspect suddenly reaching out, opening a cash drawer, and snatching money before quickly disappearing from view.

Police Hunt for Suspect in Silver SUV

Towards the end of the footage, the unidentified robber is observed driving away in a silver SUV. Investigators from the APD's Larceny Unit are now actively seeking information about the suspect who targeted the Chick-fil-A located at 875 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. To aid the investigation, authorities are offering a substantial $5,000 reward for any details that lead to an arrest.

Employee Satisfaction Context Amidst Crime Wave

This alarming robbery follows a recent report by investment bank William Blair, which examined employee satisfaction across nearly 90 restaurant chains. The study, ongoing for 11 years and analyzing over 530,000 Glassdoor reviews, found that only 72 percent of Chick-fil-A workers would recommend their jobs to friends.

Despite this, Chick-fil-A outperformed competitors like Chipotle, Starbucks, Wendy's, and Panera Bread, all of which reported employee satisfaction rates of 53 percent or less. For the tenth consecutive year, In-N-Out Burger led the rankings, with 91 percent of employees endorsing their workplace to peers.

The Independent has reached out to Chick-fil-A for comment on both the robbery and the employee satisfaction findings, but no response has been provided at this time.
