Ohio State University's football programme is embroiled in scandal after defensive lineman Michael Roen McCullough was arrested and charged with a horrific alleged assault on his girlfriend.
The 21-year-old athlete faces one count of strangulation and two counts of assault following a violent domestic incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to court documents, the altercation began when McCullough's girlfriend discovered messages from another woman on his phone. The situation escalated dramatically when the player allegedly became physically violent.
