Therapists Jennifer Teplin and Emily Fiorelli from Manhattan Wellness analysed the fallout. Teplin described it as a 'double wound' when a close friend chooses someone who hurt you. Fiorelli called it a 'blatant breach of trust', noting that Ciara had confided in Amanda about romantic hardships, expecting mutual support.
Ciara has consistently supported Amanda, including during a fertility scare in season seven of Summer House. Ciara, a nurse, urged Amanda to see a doctor and took a fertility test with her. Last summer, during Amanda's marital troubles with Kyle, Ciara was a key support. Teplin suggested that Ciara's silence and unfollowing are healthy boundaries, allowing her to process the situation privately. She recommended Ciara create a controlled environment for healing. Fiorelli noted that friendship breakups are common in therapy, as relationships evolve and some do not withstand challenges.
