Ex-Lawyer Dine-and-Dash Suspect Spotted at Disneyland Paris

Newly released footage captures the moment an ex-lawyer and her alleged accomplice were confronted by restaurant staff before fleeing without paying a £62 bill. Kerry Stevens, 40, and Daniel Alani are accused of multiple dine-and-dash incidents across the UK.

Footage Shows Tense Exchange

The clip, filmed at The Castle Inn in Little Wakering, Essex, shows Stevens sitting at a table before being approached by a man. She quickly picks up her bag and attempts to leave, but staff block her path. The silent footage ends with Stevens being pushed back into the room.

Landlord Ken Todd said the pair tried to escape through a locked back door and a bathroom window. He added, 'For the sake of £62, if they were starving I'd just give them the food.'

Fugitive in France

Stevens has failed to appear in court on at least nine occasions and is subject to four arrest warrants. Despite this, she posted photos on social media from Disneyland Paris wearing Mickey Mouse ears. A family friend claimed she fled to the Lorraine region in northeastern France earlier this year after police visited her mother's home.

Previous Offences

Stevens was struck off as a lawyer after being convicted of failing to pay a £60.91 bill at a Harvester. She now faces eleven counts of making off without payment and one count of theft, which she denies. Alani has pleaded guilty to theft and multiple counts of making off without payment.

Other restaurant owners have come forward, including Steve Yeung of The Pearl Dragon in Southend, who said the pair fled a £127 bill after consuming four starters, four main courses, and eight soft drinks. Taxi drivers have also reported being swindled by the duo.
