Six people were injured when a 4x4 mounted a pavement and ploughed into pedestrians and another car in east London on Saturday morning. The incident occurred on Green Street, near Upton Park Station, at approximately 8:18 am.

Details of the Crash

CCTV footage shows a grey 4x4 smashing through a lamppost before colliding with the rear of a stationary blue Toyota. Pedestrians were seen running for cover as the vehicle mounted the pavement, narrowly missing some passers-by while striking others.

Casualties and Response

Six people, including the driver, were taken to hospital. According to the Metropolitan Police, their injuries have been confirmed as not life-threatening or life-changing. The London Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

Police Investigation

The Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to Green Street, close to Upton Park Station at 12:10hrs on Saturday, June 20, following reports of a collision involving a car and several pedestrians. Six people, including the driver have been taken to hospital.” No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
