Fears are mounting for a British father who has vanished in Benidorm after meeting new people during a holiday. Neil Ginter, a stagecoach bus driver from Plymouth, has not made any contact with his family or close friends for more than 24 hours, leaving the mother of his child desperately worried.
Disappearance details
Terri Purland, who shares a child with Neil, filed a missing person report on Wednesday, 1 July. Neil is described as bald, with a prominent tribal tattoo covering his right arm and tattooed lettering on his left forearm. He is of stocky build and has not been active on social media, which has heightened fears among his loved ones.
Terri said: "Looking for my son's dad who is in Benidorm but no one has heard from him for over 24 hours. No posts on Facebook or even being active. He's met a few people while there. If anyone has seen or heard from him can you please get in contact."
Appeal for information
Terri is now appealing to expats, tourists, and residents in Benidorm to come forward with any information about Neil's whereabouts. Benidorm is a popular destination for British summer getaways, attracting approximately 900,000 visitors annually.
Similar case resolved
Neil's disappearance follows another British tourist, Michael Hewitt, who was successfully located after going missing in Spain. Hewitt, known as 'Little Mick', vanished in Barcelona on 21 June while traveling to the USA to support England at the World Cup. He was found after a 10-day search, 'blissfully unaware' that his family was frantically searching for him. Hewitt had lost his mobile phone, leaving him unable to continue his trip or contact relatives.
His brother Gary Hewitt said: "Little Mick is safe and well in Barcelona, and was blissfully unaware that the world was searching for him."
