Wales holiday pod Kites Nest named best for couples

An award-winning glamping pod in Wales has been named the best destination for couples. The Kites Nest, set in the tranquil village of Pont-rhyd-y-groes in Ceredigion, won the 2025 gold award for 'best for couples' from Sykes Cottages.

Unique design and high-quality craftsmanship

The wooden pod was built by My Shire House, a company featured on Channel 4's George Clarke's Amazing Spaces. It is crafted from FSC graded timber including oak, larch and red cedar, to an exceptionally high standard.

Inside, guests find a compact kitchen with essentials for meal preparation, a comfortable sitting area, a cosy double bed, and a modern shower room. Outside, a deck offers panoramic views across rolling hills, valleys and woodland.
