TUI has identified the best European destinations for Easter sunshine, based on historical weather data including average rainfall, wind speed, and temperature in early April. The analysis produced a Good Weather Score for each location, with Turkey topping the rankings.
According to TUI, Turkey historically offers the most ideal weather conditions during Easter, with average temperatures of 18°C and minimal rainfall (0.01mm on average). The top destination within Turkey is Marmaris, a port town on the Turkish Riviera, which often reaches highs of 19°C around Easter and typically experiences dry, light winds.
Marmaris boasts a marina, a grand bazaar, historic sites such as the 16th-century Marmaris Castle, and several sandy beaches. Marmaris Long Beach (Uzunyali) stretches about six miles from the city centre, lined with hotels, restaurants, and bars. A quieter option is İçmeler Beach, south of the city, offering sandy coves and mountain views.
Greece ranked second, with mean temperatures around 16°C and long sunny days. Bulgaria came third, praised for its pleasant and balanced climate, light winds, and low rainfall. Bulgaria is also noted for its hiking opportunities in the Rila and Pirin mountain ranges and its Black Sea coast, which features 200 beaches including lively Sunny Beach and historic Varna.
