Ryanair's Social Media Team Trolls Passengers with Savage Replies

Ryanair, the Irish budget airline known for its cheap, no-frills flights, has also built a reputation for its 'unhinged' social media presence. The airline's team on X (formerly Twitter) regularly posts sarcastic responses to customer complaints, often mocking passengers, rival airlines, and even its own service.

In a recent exchange, a passenger complained about being assigned a window seat that turned out to be next to a wall. Ryanair replied, 'Turkey flight?', referencing the passenger's bald head. Another traveller who posted a photo of a windowless seat was told, 'That's a wall.'

The airline also hit back at a passenger who blurred out a Ryanair plane in a photo, sarcastically calling it their 'favourite airline'. Ryanair edited the image to blur the passenger's face instead, adding 'Fixed it'. A train commuter who compared Avanti West Coast's windowless seat to Ryanair's was met with a smug 'Copycats.'

In March, Ryanair tweeted: 'Good morning to passengers who said they'd never fly Ryanair again, but did.' The airline's TikTok account, with 1.5 million followers and 41.9 million likes, is the biggest airline brand on the platform.

While US and Asian users have called for Ryanair to expand routes so they can experience the airline, European users have cautioned about slow refunds, cancelled flights, and bumpy landings.
